4th of July weekend BBQ plans?

We know some of these tips are a no-brainer,  but at SERVPRO of Decatur we want you to have a safe 4^th of July weekend.

The National Fire Protection Association says that July is when most of the grilling fires occur.

• Make sure that your grill is clean and there is no grease buildup (don’t forget to check the trays).
• Before you start grilling, have a fire extinguisher close by.
• Inspect leaks in gas hose lines
• Move the grill if necessary, to make sure it is located away from deck railings or back walls.
• Never leave the grill unattended. Things can go wrong in a matter of minutes.
• If you are using coal, dispose of it in a metal container.
