Test your smoke alarms

National Fire Prevention Week is from October 8^th to October 14^th 2017

Are you prepared in case of a house fire? 

If not, SERVPRO of Decatur has some helpful tips:

• Remember…Every second counts!
• Have an escape plan- According to the National Fire Protection Association, only half of all Americans have an escape plan. Don’t wait…develop your plan today.
• Plan your escape, and PRACTICE your escape plan.
• Teach kids how to escape on their won in case you can’t help them.
• Test your smoke alarms and replace the batteries if they haven’t been changed in over a year
• Check the pressure gauge on your home fire extinguisher today to make sure the gauge’s needle indicates proper pressure (Green zone)
