New roofs should not present a lot of problems for homeowners, but if the roof is five to ten years old, it would be a good idea to inspect it for loose shingles, sheathing and nails. If you notice any of these problems, fix them right away to protect your property from sever storms.

Remove Dead Trees

Do not wait until it is too late to remove dead trees around your property. The roots of a dead tree are not strong, making it easier for it to topple over after a strong storm.  Trim limbs and dead wood so there is less of a chance of them falling and damaging the roof, windows, siding, vehicles, etc.
